Advanced, beautifully designed widgets and site-building tools for Elementor. Built for Hebrew and English sites, and everything is included.

== Description ==

PeleAddons adds advanced widgets and design tools to the free Elementor page builder. Every widget and tool is included - there is no paid version and nothing is locked.

Each widget and tool can be switched off, and loads only on the pages that use it. Everything works from the keyboard, respects visitors who ask for less motion, and is designed for right-to-left and left-to-right sites alike. The FAQ below describes each tool in more detail.

= AI page builder =

Describe what you need in your own words, and AI designs it in Elementor: a landing page, a section, a header or a footer, as regular Elementor containers and widgets with colors, fonts, real texts in Hebrew or English, and tablet and phone layouts. Works with your own key from Claude (Anthropic), ChatGPT (OpenAI) or Gemini (Google), stored encrypted on your site. Add your own photos and AI describes and places them. Designs are created as drafts, so nothing changes on the live site until you publish.

= Design tools =

* **Image optimization** - compression, WebP or AVIF, smaller oversized photos, location data removed, smart thumbnails, with backup and restore.
* **Custom fonts and icons** - your own font files and SVG icon sets in Elementor, served from your site.
* **Motion effects and sticky elements** - scroll and mouse effects, and headers or boxes that stick and change once stuck.
* **Page transitions** - smooth moves between pages with an optional preloader.
* **Display conditions and custom attributes** - show or hide any element by visitor, date, page and more; add HTML attributes to any element.
* **Custom CSS** - per element and per page, with a live preview.
* **Readable on any brand color**, and an optional switch that hides upgrade prompts in the editor.

Full Hebrew translation included. Dates are shown as dd/mm/yyyy with a 24-hour clock.

PeleAddons is an independent plugin and is not made, sponsored or endorsed by Elementor Ltd. Elementor is a trademark of its owner. Other product and company names mentioned are trademarks of their respective owners, used only to describe compatibility.

== Installation ==

1. Install and activate Elementor (free).
2. Install PeleAddons from Plugins > Add New, or upload the ZIP file.
3. Activate the plugin and open the PeleAddons menu.
4. In the Elementor editor, find the widgets in the PeleAddons category.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Do I need Elementor Pro? =

No. PeleAddons works with the free Elementor plugin. If Elementor Pro is active as well, PeleAddons tools that overlap with it step aside.

= Does a widget I do not use slow down my site? =

No. Switched-off widgets are not loaded at all, and the scripts and styles of each widget load only on pages that use it.

= What can the theme builder do? =

Design the header, the footer, single posts, single pages, archives, search results and the 404 page in Elementor, and choose where each one shows: the entire site, post types, categories and tags, pages under a parent, specific pages, archives, search results or the 404 page (the most specific rule wins, then the priority you set). Preview real content while editing and start from ready layouts. It also holds the card designs (loop items) of the card grid and carousel widgets. Works with Hello Elementor, classic themes and block themes; pages you designed in Elementor keep their own design unless you choose otherwise.

= What can the popup builder do? =

Popups can be a centered card, a corner slide-in, a bar at the top or the bottom, a full screen, a side drawer or a bottom sheet (any of them can become a bottom sheet on phones), with their own size, backdrop, close button and motion. They show where you choose (the theme builder's display conditions), open on page load, scrolling, a section coming into view, a click, idle time, leaving the page, reading time or a link to #pele-popup-ID, and follow visitor rules: times per visit or per visitor, a rest after closing, page view or visit number, where the visitor came from, devices, logged-in users and roles, a schedule and a link parameter. Windows keep keyboard focus inside and close with Escape. A PeleForms form inside can close the popup and count as a conversion; there is a public JavaScript API and optional Google Tag Manager events. Defaults are polite: 5 seconds after load, once per visit, a week's rest after closing.

= Can I use dynamic tags without Elementor Pro? =

Yes. PeleAddons adds its own tags to the free Elementor editor: the post, its author, the archive, the site, custom fields (and ACF fields when Advanced Custom Fields is active), the logged-in visitor, the page address and ready contact links (call, WhatsApp, SMS, email, Waze, Google Maps, Telegram). Most PeleAddons widgets accept tags in their texts, links and images. When Elementor Pro is active, the PeleAddons tags step aside. The Shortcode tag and hidden custom fields are available only to users who may add code to the site (administrators).

= Who can use custom code? =

Only administrators who may post unfiltered HTML. Snippets go inside <head>, right after <body> or before </body>, on the pages you choose and in the order you choose, with WordPress's code editor, ready snippets (Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, Microsoft Clarity, ownership tags, JSON-LD), the last 10 versions, an admins-only test mode and a safe mode (?pele-safe-mode=1).

= Does the custom code tool send data anywhere? =

No. PeleAddons sends nothing. Snippets you add may load third-party services (Google, Meta, Microsoft and others); you choose them, and your privacy policy should describe them and, where the law requires it, ask visitors for consent.

= How do synced widgets work? =

Right-click any widget and choose "Save as a synced widget". It then appears in its own panel category; every copy shows the same widget, and editing it once updates every page. A copy can be unlinked for one page. PeleAddons > Synced widgets lists where each one is used, with rename, export, import and delete.

= What happens to my pages if I turn synced widgets off? =

The copies show nothing on the site. Turn the tool back on and they return on every page that was not saved in Elementor in the meantime.

= What can the role manager limit? =

For each role: full access to Elementor, content only (texts, images and links of existing elements) or no access; which PeleAddons widgets it can add, by group or one by one; and which PeleAddons screens it can open (AI page builder, theme builder, popups). It supports single-user exceptions and "Preview as role", and the limits are checked on the server too. Administrators are never limited.

= Can a content-only user break the design? =

No. The editor shows only the Content tab, and when the page is saved the server keeps its structure, design and page settings as they were.

= Which widgets are included? =

* Site and theme parts: Navigation Menu with eight ready designs, dropdowns, mega panels (set in Appearance > Menus or in the widget), icons and badges, button items, items for chosen visitors, devices or dates, and a phone menu; Search Box with word forms, spelling mistakes, synonyms, filters and live results, or an instant filter over the lists on the page; Breadcrumb Trail with structured data; Site Logo, Site Title, Page Title, Sign-in Box, Side Panel, Template Embed, Site Index.
* Posts: Custom Card Grid (a card you design once, repeated for every post of a query, in a grid or masonry, with a filter bar, page numbers, load more or infinite scroll) and Custom Card Carousel; both can also show categories, tags or any taxonomy's terms, with an image for every category. Posts in seven arrangements (grid, masonry, carousel, magazine, mixed tiles, timeline, compact list) and twenty-two looks; Project Showcase in nine arrangements with a quick view; Post Comments in nine styles; Post Title, Post Content, Post Excerpt, Featured Image, Post Details, Author Card, Next and Previous Posts, Archive Title, Contents Navigator.
* Images: Smart Gallery (grid, masonry, justified rows, filters), Photo Albums with a full-screen viewer, Photo Book with pages that turn in 3D, Photo Stack, Image Compare, Image Accordion, Image Marquee, Shaped Image, Device Mockup with scrolling screenshots, Image Zoom.
* Sliders: Content Slider (drag any widgets into each slide; slide, fade or depth transitions; arrows, dots, numbers or a progress bar), Slideshow (Ken Burns, split screen, 3D coverflow, cube, card deck, parallax layers, thumbnails, vertical, shutters and circle reveal), Hero Slider, Media Slider.
* Video: Video Player (YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, Wistia, Loom, Streamable, Twitch, Facebook, Bunny Stream, Cloudflare Stream, HLS and video files, eight designs, chapters, captions, a mini player), Video Popup, Video Gallery, Video Stories, Video Hero, Scroll Video, Video Text, Video Series.
* Audio: Audio Player (vinyl, cassette, the real waveform, a compact bar, a now playing card) and Audio Playlist (albums, podcast feeds, SoundCloud or Spotify).
* Content and data: Chart (seven chart types from typed data, CSV or a Google Sheet), Progress Meters, Styled Lists, Team Showcase with an org chart, Link Collection, Quote Card.
* Marketing: Call Me Button (phone, WhatsApp, text message, Telegram, Messenger, Instagram, Viber, Signal), Smart Button (copy a coupon, download a file, add to calendar, share, open a template, scroll, print), Action Banner, Pricing Plan, Price Menu, Flip Card, Headline Effects, Countdown Timer, Review Cards, Testimonial Slider, Testimonial Showcase.
* Social: WhatsApp chat button and card, Social Follow, Share Bar, and embeds for Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Telegram and Facebook.
* Creative: Signature that writes itself, Image Points, Lottie Animation, Code Snippet, Reading Progress. Payments: Payment Button (PayPal, Stripe Payment Links or any checkout page).

= What do the design tools include? =

* Image optimization compresses every upload, converts JPEG and PNG to WebP or AVIF, scales oversized photos down, removes location data, crops thumbnails around the subject (with a focal point you can move), and optimizes the existing library with a backup and restore.
* Custom fonts: WOFF2, WOFF, TTF and OTF files (variable fonts too) under "Site fonts" in every typography setting, with font-display and preload settings. Custom icons: SVG files or a zip of them, as icon sets in Elementor's icon library; every SVG is cleaned of scripts and outside links.
* Motion effects: vertical and horizontal movement, transparency, blur, rotation, zoom, pointer following and 3D tilt, in Advanced > Motion Effects. Sticky elements stick to the top or bottom or inside their column, stack, change look once stuck and can hide while scrolling down.
* Page transitions: fade, slide, zoom, wipe or a cover in your colors, with an optional preloader, using the browser's view transitions where available; set in Site Settings > Page transitions.
* Display conditions: login, role, dates, weekdays, hours, page, author, link parameter, referrer, cookie, browser language or screen type, checked on the server or, for cached pages, in the browser, with "Preview as a visitor" in the editor.
* Custom attributes: aria-*, data-*, rel, title and other attributes; event handlers and script links are never added, and a style attribute only by users who may post HTML.
* Readable on any brand color: widgets pick white or dark text for each global color. Hide upgrade prompts: off by default; hides editor items that need an upgrade.

= Do motion effects slow down my site? =

Their small script loads only on pages that use them, updates only the elements near the screen, and changes only what browsers animate most smoothly (movement, rotation, size, transparency and blur).

= Where do I set a mega panel? =

In Appearance > Menus, open a top-level item and fill in "Mega panel, icon and badge", or in the Navigation Menu widget under Content > Mega panels. When both are set, a field set in the widget wins.

= Do page transitions hide my content from search engines? =

No. The page is never hidden in its HTML; the cover is added by a small script only after a click inside the site, and removed by a timer even if something fails.

= Do custom fonts or icons load anything from another site? =

No. Everything is stored in your uploads folder (uploads/pele-addons) and served from your own site.

= Does PeleAddons add database tables? =

Only for the Search Box. The first time a Search Box is used, PeleAddons builds a search index of your published content in three tables of its own ({prefix}pele_addons_search_words, {prefix}pele_addons_search_postings, {prefix}pele_addons_search_docs), in small background steps through WP-Cron. It updates itself when content changes, holds only what visitors can already see (published content; only the title of a password-protected post), and is removed when you delete the plugin.

== External services ==

PeleAddons itself sends nothing anywhere. A few features connect to an outside service, only when you use them:

= AI page builder =

Only with an API key you entered in PeleAddons > Settings; visitors never trigger a request. Testing a key asks the provider for its list of models. Designing sends your description, the site name and tagline, the chosen options and the plugin's design instructions. With photos, small copies (up to 768 pixels), their file names and the descriptions you approved are sent; placing photos in a page also sends a short outline of that page. No visitor data is sent. The provider bills the key's owner.

* Gemini, by Google (generativelanguage.googleapis.com) - [Gemini API terms](https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms), [Privacy policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy)

= Update check =

Only when an admin presses "Check for updates" in PeleAddons > About, or once a week if an admin turned the weekly check on (it is off by default). The plugin downloads a small public file with the newest version number, its changes and a download link from the PeleAddons site (pelegsoft.com). Nothing about your site is sent: no address, no settings, no visitor data. Nothing is downloaded or installed by itself.

= Dynamic tags, Post Comments, Call Me Button, Smart Button, WhatsApp and Social Follow =

Nothing loads from outside. Author pictures and comment avatars come from Gravatar through WordPress itself ([Gravatar privacy](https://automattic.com/privacy/)). Contact, share and calendar options are plain links (tel:, sms:, viber:, wa.me, t.me, m.me, ig.me, signal.me, waze.com, google.com/maps, Google Calendar, Outlook.com, Facebook, X, LinkedIn) that open only when a visitor clicks; a ready message or the page title and address travel inside the link. Calendar .ics files are made in the browser.

= Custom code =

The tool contacts no service. Ready snippets, once you fill them in and turn them on, load their service in visitors' browsers: googletagmanager.com (Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager), connect.facebook.net and facebook.com (Meta Pixel), clarity.ms (Microsoft Clarity), fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com (a Google font). [Google](https://policies.google.com/), [Meta](https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/), [Microsoft](https://privacy.microsoft.com/)

= Popup builder =

Nothing is loaded or sent. The counts its rules need (times shown, closed or sent, page views, visits, the referring address) stay in the visitor's browser (localStorage key "pele-popups") and can be cleared with the browser's site data. Optional data layer events (off by default) go only to the page's own window.dataLayer.

= Social embeds (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Telegram) =

Nothing loads until the visitor presses the widget's "Load ... content" button, unless the site owner chose to load it right away or the visitor ticked "Always load" (kept in the browser). Then the network's own embed loads, and the network receives the page address, the visitor's IP address and browser data, and may set cookies. Profile and channel cards and follow buttons are plain links.

* Instagram: www.instagram.com, cdninstagram.com, fbcdn.net, graph.instagram.com. [Terms](https://help.instagram.com/581066165581870), [Privacy](https://privacycenter.instagram.com/policy/)

* Telegram: telegram.org, t.me, oauth.tg.dev, telesco.pe. [Terms](https://telegram.org/tos), [Privacy](https://telegram.org/privacy)

= Payment Button =

Nothing is sent until the visitor presses the button. PayPal (www.paypal.com, or www.sandbox.paypal.com in test mode) receives the business email, item, amount, currency, quantity, return addresses and language ([Terms](https://www.paypal.com/legalhub/home), [Privacy](https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/privacy/privacyhub)). Stripe (buy.stripe.com) opens the owner's Payment Link, optionally with the logged-in visitor's email, an order reference and a promotion code ([Terms](https://stripe.com/legal/ssa), [Privacy](https://stripe.com/privacy)).

= Video widgets (Video Player, Video Popup, Video Gallery, Video Stories, Video Hero, Video Series, Media Slider, Testimonial Showcase) =

Nothing loads from a video site until the visitor presses play, unless the owner sets a video to start by itself. Then the service's player loads: YouTube (www.youtube-nocookie.com; www.youtube.com in Elementor's lightbox), Vimeo (player.vimeo.com, do-not-track), Dailymotion (geo.dailymotion.com), Wistia (fast.wistia.net), Loom (www.loom.com), Streamable (streamable.com), Twitch (player.twitch.tv, clips.twitch.tv), Facebook (www.facebook.com), Bunny Stream (player.mediadelivery.net) or Cloudflare Stream (cloudflarestream.com, videodelivery.net). Video files and streams load from the addresses the owner enters.

For a video's title, length and picture, your server asks the service's oEmbed address once and keeps the answer (youtube.com, vimeo.com, dailymotion.com, fast.wistia.com, loom.com, api.streamable.com, video.bunnycdn.com), sending only the video address. Pictures are kept on your site by default (uploads/pele-addons/video-thumbs); otherwise they load from the service (for YouTube, i.ytimg.com).

= Audio Player and Audio Playlist =

Audio files on other sites download only on play; for the "Waveform card" look your server asks such an address for two bytes once a week. Podcast feeds are downloaded by your server at most once an hour; episode images load from the podcast's host (can be turned off). SoundCloud (w.soundcloud.com) and Spotify (open.spotify.com) players load only after the visitor presses "Load the player", unless the owner chose "Right away". = Chart and Signature =

When a chart's data is a link to a CSV file or a Google Sheet (docs.google.com), or a signature's SVG file is on another site, your server downloads it and keeps a copy for a while; visitors' browsers never contact that site. [Google terms](https://policies.google.com/terms), [Google privacy](https://policies.google.com/privacy)

== Changelog ==

= 1.17.1 =
* Image descriptions with AI: the notice about images that were not described has a Details button: each image with its picture, file name, the reason, the model and the time, a link that opens it in a new tab, and a copy of the details.

= 1.17.0 =
* Image descriptions with AI: the latest descriptions open and close from a header that shows how many wait for review, with pages of 20, 50, 100 or all; the list keeps up to 500 images.
* Image descriptions with AI: an answer with a quote mark inside Hebrew words, or wrapped in a list, is read correctly; when Gemini declines an image the message says so.

= 1.16.3 =
* Image descriptions with AI: a picture in the review list opens in a new browser tab, to check its description.

= 1.16.2 =
* Image descriptions with AI: written fully in the chosen language; words copied from an English file name are caught and the description is asked for again.
* Admin: plain dashes in the browser tab titles of the plugin's screens.

= 1.16.1 =
* Image descriptions with AI: fixed a critical error when describing images from the settings screen or a scheduled run.

The AI page builder places it for FAQ sections.
* Progress Meters: six standing designs (rounded columns, chart columns, thermometer, glass tubes with a wave, stacked blocks, pill columns with an icon), with column height, width and position.
* Reviews: invite visitors to review you on Google (from a Place ID or a link), Facebook, Trustpilot, Tripadvisor, Booking.com, Yelp, Easy, Zap or another site, as a card, centered buttons or a compact row, after the reviews or in the summary.
* Illustrations: 21 more (68 in all), and they show before their section scrolls into view.
* Chart: a thicker ring for donut charts, and the percentages show inside the ring only when they fit.

= 1.7.0 =
* Illustrations: a "PeleAddons illustrations" tab in the icon picker with 47 original colorful illustrations (shipping, support, security, speed, shop, food, education, health, travel, tech and more); every widget with an icon control can show one, including Elementor's own. The AI page builder can use them in feature boxes.
* Headline Effects: 19 new designs (label above, label with subtitle, short line, side line, magazine, corner frame, big number, quote, two tones, outlined, retro shadow, soft glow, split color, highlighter, pill, ribbon, dark chip, rise and focus entrances), with a label, a subtitle and a number field and their own style section; existing headlines are unchanged.
* Touch screens: every moving widget follows the finger. Carousels change slide with a shorter swipe, Testimonial Showcase spotlight and split looks swipe, marquee strips (Image Marquee, Testimonial Showcase marquee) can be dragged and flicked, and the Slideshow parallax design swipes sideways when it moves up or down.

= 1.6.2 =
* Side Panel: every panel slides in from its own edge without a jump (end and bottom panels showed at once and jumped), and on touch screens a panel closes with a swipe toward its edge; it follows the finger and springs back on a short drag.

= 1.6.1 =
* Phones: carousel dots, author box network icons and comment reply links are easier to tap; Pinterest pins fit narrow screens; the payment button text stays on one line; Team Showcase uses square photos and one column for the editorial list; countdown ring labels are larger; scroll video chapter cards keep a side margin; the card grid filter row shows a fade where more terms wait; English quotes, call to action cards and link rows read left to right inside Hebrew pages.

= 1.6.0 =
* Updates: "Check for updates" in PeleAddons > About shows the newest version, what changed, how to install it and a download link. An optional weekly check (off until you turn it on) adds a note to the dashboard and the Plugins list. Nothing is installed by itself, and a check that fails explains why and what to do.

= 1.5.1 =
* Security: the Posts, Card Grid, Hero Slider (slides from posts) and Link Collection widgets no longer show the text of a password-protected post as its excerpt; it stays hidden until the visitor enters the password.

= 1.5.0 =
* Navigation Menu: eight ready designs (classic, rounded pills, a soft bar with tabs, a floating glass bar, minimal with a line, a bold colored bar, the last item as a button, a side rail), with colors for the bar, the items and button items.
* Menu items: "Display and look" in Appearance > Menus for every item: who sees it (signed-in or signed-out visitors, chosen roles), dates to show it from and until, computers only or phones and tablets only, a full or outlined button, a thin line before it, its own text color and a short line under its name.

= 1.4.1 =
* Accessibility: the muted text colors of the widgets (dates, notes, captions, excluded features, metrics) and the chart's positive change now pass the 4.5:1 contrast of the Israeli standard (IS 5568 / WCAG 2.0 AA); the skip link of the header template is translated; the Slideshow's inline counter is easier to read.

= 1.4.0 =
* Hero Slider: Slides from posts, pages and other content, with the Query section and Post details (featured image as the background, title, excerpt, Read more button, link on the whole slide).
* Help: a page for Image optimization, and answers to common questions for Site Logo, Site Title and the PeleForms form; the Hero Slider page explains slides from posts.

= 1.3.2 =
* Slideshow, Thumbnails: a dark strip no longer flashes at the edge of the slides while they change; the new slide fades in over the old one.

= 1.3.1 =
* Slideshow, Parallax layers: Direction of the slides, sideways or up and down (with up and down arrows and keys).

= 1.3.0 =
* Slideshow, Parallax layers: Text depth (how far the title, text and button drift apart), the big slide number at the start or the end, in an outline or a soft fill, and an optional slow zoom of the photo.

= 1.2.1 =
* Slideshow, Coverflow 3D with text below the slides: choose whether the dots and the pause button sit below the text (the default) or between the slides and the text.

= 1.2.0 =
* Slideshow, Coverflow 3D: "Text below the slides" shows the title and text of the current slide under the slides, changing with them, with the slide counter above.

= 1.1.0 =
* Hand-picked posts (Posts, Portfolio, Card Grid, Card Carousel, Slideshow): a plain list of ids to paste alongside the search picker, with every one of them shown regardless of "Number of posts".

= 1.0.7 =
* Plain colored icons on the dashboard's stat cards, without the colored background tile.

= 1.0.6 =
* The same calm, deep-ink tone on every enabled module and widget icon, instead of the bright brand gradient.

= 1.0.5 =
* A calmer, deep-ink background on the dashboard banner instead of the bright brand gradient.

= 1.0.4 =
* Fixed: the "why a tool is off" note on a module card could spill past the card; a top-bar dropdown menu could open shifted on a browser with a reserved-width scrollbar.

= 1.0.3 =
* A white "Pele" on the dashboard banner, where the full logo sits on the brand colors instead of white.

= 1.0.2 =
* The full logo on the About screen and the dashboard banner, a bigger logo on the widget catalog, and a nav menu that opens on hover.

= 1.0.1 =
* New logo in the admin menu, the PeleAddons screens and the WordPress.org page.

= 1.0.0 =
* Security review before the first public release: every REST route, widget, module and editor script checked against the WordPress.org guidelines and the Plugin Check tool, with fixes for publishing rights, private data in lists and tags, the sign-in errors, the shortcode tag guard, uploads and the AI builder's use of your key.

= 0.1.0 =
* First version: dashboard, widgets screen, help, theme builder (header, footer, single, archive, search results and 404 templates with display conditions), popup builder (eight layouts, triggers, visitor rules, PeleForms conversions), custom fonts and icon sets, display conditions and custom attributes for every element, dynamic tags, motion effects, sticky elements and page transitions, custom code, synced widgets, a role manager, AI page builder with your own photos, 83 widgets, image optimization, Custom CSS, an option to hide upgrade prompts, PeleForms Form widget.
